Consider we lucky...

Consider we lucky, my husband was home when he heard waterfall kind of noise inside our house.

Consider we lucky , we had no maid yet my 3 staffs were reliable and helpful.

Consider we lucky, it was our study-slash-home office not our bedroom get flooded.

Consider we lucky, water flushed from ceiling right to our working-chair, not onto our running desktops -yes, of course it's always a side effect for having water splashed on it, we keep our fingers crossed-

Consider we lucky, we bought our guest room bed+mattress recently, very good timing -we have an excuse for spent the night downstairs-

Consider we lucky, only our 2nd floor affected. We could hang on 1st floor, alive and kicking -I am grateful for it-

Consider we lucky, no one injured -yes, a bit of back-ached for 3 consecutive hours of cleaned up all waters-

Consider we lucky....
Alhamdulillah.

Crosswords card

I kept thinking about two thing I'd like to make, never had chance til last weekeend. All of the sudden I fount the perfect moment to turn my crosswords page from old magazine into.

First project was a tag-card or gift card for my friend's wedding. I don't feel like giving an ordinary gift tag, so this crosswords tag served perfectly, I only need to cut and stick them onto plain bright-blue cardstock, cut it's edge with my zigzag scissor, stack another brighter-blue colored paper printed with bride & groom name.
On the back side, I opt for bright-orange paper to print our best wishes for them.

Ready in 10 minutes.

Just hoping my friend will appreciate it :)

Buildings Cup

My son made this special sketch and glued to a coffee mug, as birthday gift for my husband. And being a proud dad, he displayed this fine art on his working desk @ his office.

It's a labor of love from a gifted boy to his dad.

Day Tripper: Indonesia Book Fair 2010

With the spirit of cheap holiday, on 1st day of this school holiday, I brought my kids to Books Fair in downtown Jakarta. We loves books; that our main reason. Free entry makes it even better :)

It was fairly quiet when we came -around 11am- and this organizer all but clever to put 4D theatre in front of Istora Senayan door. And without any consciousness I spent 60,000 rupiah to had those big silly glasses up on my nose, looking on funny fish movie and some blowing bubbles -its real bubbles- flying to my face...those 15minutes was great though, our 1st ever watched 4D movie.

Once we out from theatre, we walked around from one booth to another, we kind of disappointed with books many vendor presented. Not as good as we thought, I managed to get my son bought Indonesia Folklore story Timun Mas -later on he found it's quite funny- and spent only about 1 1/2 hours there.

Before we out, we stopped by on booth of  the biggest -I guess- book publisher in Indonesia which occupied almost entire front lobby, and get hooked by their offer for discount subscription of Indonesia version of Martha Stewart Living Magazine. Not so cheap holiday any longer :(

One sunny afternoon

My son was not always tough, he is soft and sensitif inside, I knew it well. Not well enough though until one sunny afternoon -2days ago- he brought me two tiny flowers he'd pick from bushes along the way his bicycling path.

I'm touched.
